Fyli 3×3: Under the eyes of a Euroleague champion, two teams paved their way to see the Euroleague final next year

Indians (Open Men), Agro Squad (Open Women) and Fyli Big Ballers (U18 Boys) won the first edition of 3×3 Municipality of Fyli Streetball, which ended Sunday evening, in the Inoor Square from Ano Liosia.

The tournament started with 74 teams registered in all categories and more than 250 players took part in the competition organized with the support of the Municipality of Fyli, Fitbit, Pepsi and Electroholic.

The winners of Open categories, both men and women, will travel to Belgrade to watch the 2018 Euroleague Final, while the winners of U18 Boys and all the other teams in top 3 places received prizes offered by the tournament’s partners.

More than 1000 people watched the games in both days of the competition. The event was hosted by the TV Star Elena Kremlidou, while on Sunday the Euroleague and Panathinaikos legend Kostas Tsartsaris together with long time basketball journalist Vasilis Skountis were the special guests of the competition. Both underlined in their speech the fast developing of 3×3 basketball, a discipline who was included this year in the Olympic Games schedule and will be featured for the first time in Tokyo 2020.

All the players received points in the FIBA 3×3 World Rankings and they will count both in the individual ranking but also for the Nations Ranking which can offer Greece the chance to qualify for Europe and World Cups in the future years.

Road to Beijing: FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final to be staged on October 28-29

The FIBA 3×3 World Tour Bloomage Beijing Final 2017 will be held in the Bloomage Live Hi-Up shopping mall on October 28-29.

The final was originally planned on October 21-22 but postponed one week by mutual agreement from FIBA and the local organizing committee.

The event will be played in an outdoor part of the Bloomage Live Hi-Up, a new state-of-the-art shopping mall located in the booming Western side of Beijing.

Three teams have already secured their ticket for the event after winning a Masters (Ljubljana (SLO), Novi Sad Al Wahda (UAE) and Liman (SRB)).

The top 12 teams in the World Tour standings after the last Masters of the season will travel to Beijing.
